User Highlight
This week's user highlight goes to "Lkml Pbn". The summary of user feedback is as follows:
I love the site, you have a cool and useful product on your hands. I have a feature suggestion I think a lot of folks want, including myself, if you wouldn't mind indulging me.
Currently, you can favorite content and view it as its own collection and even share that collection with others. However, I think it would be valuable to have the ability to create collections separately, and in addition to, favorited content. An analogous feature is the ability to create custom "playlists" like on music streaming platforms. Functionally, it would behave similarly to the way favorites work right now: content can be added directly to a custom "playlist" while being viewed, and the whole playlist can be viewed as its own feed. You could give the playlist a custom name, description, and such.
Who knows, you could even make it a premium-only feature to rope more people in. Right now the premium benefits are fine, but nothing too remarkable. The ability to make custom playlists could be pretty convincing, though.
Scrolller's Action
Lkml Pbn, Thanks so much for the suggestion! We love hearing how we can improve the site to make it more useful for our users. We think that adding the ability to create custom collections would be a great addition to the site. Our team has started to plan out this feature and you will soon see it on Scrolller.
New Features Launched:
Turning on Scrapers
Scrapers are the bloodline of Scrolller. Our development team has resolved the issues with the old scraper and we have finally turned on our new scrapers. Scrolller will now be able to provide its users with fresh content on a daily basis. This will help to ensure that the platform remains engaging and enjoyable to use and users can expect to find a range of interesting and engaging content when they visit Scrolller each time. It also means that Scrolller never runs out of content to display.
Scrolller curates and features the best content from around the internet. This includes everything from videos to GIFs and images. One of the things that makes Scrolller so popular is the fact that it is always updating its content selection. This means that there is always something new and exciting to check out on the platform.
Users have been consistently demanding new content, and we are now able to provide it faster and more efficiently than ever before. This is a major breakthrough for Scrolller and we are excited to see the results. We're committed to providing our users with the best possible experience. We will continue to update our Scrapper and make sure that we're always serving the freshest, most delicious content.
Serving Content from Scrolller Servers:
Scrolller is a massive content website. Storing this large sum of content is not only difficult but costly. To maximize the cost-effectiveness and still be able to provide users with fresh content, we partnered with a website to serve content from their servers. This was a mutually beneficial agreement as scrolller was serving their content and in turn, passing on traffic to the source website by back-linking. It was until Scrolller got blocked by that website recently, that it disrupted our continuous growth and compromised our performance.
This made us realize that we need to resolve issues with our own servers and manage content with our own systems. This will free us from relying on other sites to control the performance of Scrolller. With the help of our scrapper updates and our new object storage solution, we will now be able to store and serve data from our own servers. This change will allow us to have maximum control over performance and independence to grow as the best content platform.
To ensure the performance, we have now implemented a content delivery network (CDN) to help ensure that our content is delivered quickly and reliably. Second, we are now caching our content properly to help improve our website's performance. By taking these steps, we can help ensure that our website is able to serve content from our own servers without encountering any major problems.
We are thankful for our all users who have been a great support for us in these past 2 weeks of bad performance. Now we have implemented these changes and the performance continues to grow every day.
Please let us know in the comments, what is your feedback on these changes.
Account Recovery:
In this year's start, Scrolller implemented the soft delete feature to help users that reached out to its support in hopes to recover their accidentally deleted accounts. Previously, If a user deleted an account, all data associated with it was removed from our servers. With this new change, all users who have deleted their account in the year 2022 will be able to recover their account on Scrolller. This is a huge change for the platform, and it’s something that users have been asking for.
Account recovery is a very important feature for a number of reasons. First, it allows users to change their minds about deleting their accounts. Second, it allows users to recover their account if they accidentally delete it. Third, it allows users to recover their account if it is hacked or deleted by someone else. This will give users peace of mind knowing that their account can be recovered if they make a mistake.
As soon as the account is recovered, Scrolller restores all data related to a user account, along with favorites, followings, a user shared collections and all user configurations. This is a great chance for Scrolller, and it will allow users to keep their data safe and sound.
Users can recover their account in 3 simple steps
Try to login/register with the email/username for the account that has been deleted
You will immediately be served with a popup to start the recovery process or delete the account permanently.
Once users choose the account recovery, A recovery link is sent to their email to start the process, guiding them along the way.
Donations Page
Some of our users in the past have created a second account to subscribe for a second time. We thought that it was a bug and we reached out to them to give them a refund, but they said that they wanted to support us.
This is a heartwarming story that shows the dedication of Scrolller's users. It is clear that they are willing to go above and beyond to support the site, and this is something that we are very grateful for.
Introducing a donations page is a great way to make it easier for users to support Scrolller financially. This way, they don't have to worry about being billed multiple times, and can select a proposed amount or set it according to their own preferences.
Thank you for your support, it shows us that you really care about Scrolller and gives us the means and power to make it an even better experience.
Donation only works for our premium users only at this point. If you are a free user and want to support Scrolller, please consider subscribing to scrolller premium.
Email Verification
Scrolller has recently introduced an email recommendations feature. This will allow all our verified users to receive content recommendations according to their content preferences. However, we've noticed that some users aren't getting our email recommendations and this is due to the fact that their emails have not been verified.
If you're one of the users who hasn't verified their email address, then we recommend you do so as soon as possible. Not only will you start receiving our email recommendations, but you'll also be able to take advantage of our other features such as Account recovery in case of deletion, exclusive discounts, and giveaways.
So, how do you verify your email address on Scrolller? It's actually very easy. All the users that currently don’t have a verified email address will be displayed with an email verification banner. Clicking on the “Resend Link” button will send an email with the verification link to your registered email account. Users who want to change their email addresses can easily do that from the accounts page.
If you have any questions about the email verification process, then feel free to contact us and we'll be more than happy to help you out.
Upcoming Features:
New and Clean UI/UX for Our Users
Scrolller is constantly changing and evolving to provide users with the best possible experience. We are giving our users a new Interface and experience that will make it easier to navigate the site. Some of the changes include a revamped nav bar which will bring better and faster accessibility to you and make your own navigation seamless. Another change includes a new look home page which gives you the ability to swipe and see only content from collections you follow.
These are just a few changes but overall, our goal with this round of changes is to get rid of complex controls, several unnecessary pages, and confusing features. Also, we want to provide our users with a clean, simple, content-oriented, and easy-to-navigate website, where content is the main star of the show. We know that with any change, comes some level of discomfort. We want to assure you that we are here to listen to your feedback and help make this transition as smooth as possible for you. Our team is available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns you may have. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we continue to make Scrolller the best it can be for you.
New Tagging System for Scrolller
The current tagging system on Scrolller is best known for the site's "categories" page. There are about 200 tags available to allow easy access to the content that users love. However, as Scrolller grew and the team learned more about content, we realized that the current tags are not sufficient to really find everything the site can offer.
Other sites usually either provide a very limited amount of tags (e.g. 30) or let everyone create new tags (which can be very chaotic). Scrolller decided to walk the extra mile and select about 800 tags that really represent the content it can offer. And we are motivated to further improve the system so it can be exceptional even in the most niche areas.
The 800 well-selected tags still held the danger of being confusing. So the Scrolller team developed a hierarchical structure for easy navigation. If users want to look at "clothing" or "socks" for example, they can easily do so. Or if they want to get even more specific and look at "over knee socks," that's no problem either. As the current category page cannot handle this structure we are designing and new page that can handle these hierarchical tags and categories.
We would love to hear your feedback on how to further improve the tagging system on Scrolller.

Performance Updates:
Scrolller is currently working on performance updates, in response to users’ feedback. One of the main issues that users have been facing is the slow loading times for images, especially when scrolling through the homepage. In order to address this problem, the Scrolller team is working on making some changes to the way that content is stored and served.
One of the issues that caused slow loading times for images is because data is hosted on a third-party object storage server. Due to that, it can take longer for the images to load because the data has to travel further to reach the user's device.
One way that Scrolller is addressing the issue of slow loading times is by making changes to the way that images are stored and served. By storing images on a CDN that is optimized for image delivery, the team is able to reduce the loading times for images. Additionally, the team is also working on caching to improve the performance of videos.
The team is expecting a significant performance increase from these changes. By making these changes, we are hoping to improve the overall user experience on the site.
We would love to have your feedback. Your valuable suggestions will help us in improving the website for users all over the world.

Outreach Team Updates
New traffic-generating Idea
The team has started to work on a new hypothesis to generate traffic in a similar way they were doing it already, which led to great results. This has been by far the biggest amount of traffic in the short periods of time the outreach team was capable of generating.
What are the next steps? Right now, we are waiting for this traffic rush to end so the outreach team can generate a workflow that can repeat steps and produce this outcome every time in hopes of developing a much higher & stable source of traffic from the outreach team tasks.
What’s the vision? The outreach team believes in leading big amounts of traffic to Scrolller with different methods: Methods that can be repeated with specific steps to obtain a certain product or outcome, this way, a new hire can come and he/she can get trained to do the same perfectly.

Until next time, happy Scrollling!
In the May 18th update you have take off like 5cm of screen space for your options. Why? Just give us the option off hide all the options... I believe anyone will prefered to see only pics than options! keep updating, thats good... but in the basics is where you shined. Was simple, just pics and scroll.... every options has to be in a menu, not taking screen space. I will miss the past scrolller :(
Why??? Why you have change scrolller?. Now whrn we scroll we have in the screen optiins. Taking space! The beauty of scroller it was the simplicity... Now you have option on the top and bottom, taken space ofvthe screen?... Why? It was not necessary at all. And now we can't zoom in??? No we can't zoom in when we scroll and not even when click on a picture, we can't zoom in?? Why?? Was so great when we had in our screen just pictures! Just pics... Why we have to see options all the time...
So sad and unnecessary....
