User Highlight
This week's user highlight goes to "Fox Emoji". The summary of user feedback is as follows:
Make an option to browse random collections. Instead of just having them on a leaderboard, make an option somewhere on that page that's "view a random collection"
Scrolller's Action
Fox Emoji, Thanks so much for the suggestion! Scrolller is working on updating the whole leaderboard experience to be more of a creator board where interesting new user-generated collections are shown for discovery. This will help users in finding tons of unexplored content. You will see this update very soon on Scrolller.

New Features Launched:
All-New Universal Navbar Experience
Scrolller has reimagined its user experience by creating a new navbar. This navbar is designed to be more user-friendly and organized. It is also designed to be clean and minimalistic. Previously the navbar was only on the homepage. The options provided on the navbar were very basic. Scrolller design team created a whole new navbar experience, keeping in mind the three challenges:
It should provide visitors with an easy way to find options they are looking for.
It should help in organizing Scrolller in a logical and easily understandable way.
It should provide a clean and minimal look with practicality.
This new experience was so great that we extended it to every single collection and page on Scrolller. Users can now use the filters on every collection and discovery page. This whole design revamp has provided all necessary controls within reach of the userβs hands.
Homepage Redesign
Scrolller is introducing a new Homepage focused on displaying the best content according to user interest. Our users can now see two tabs on the home screen. A βFor Youβ tab and a βFollowing Tabβ
Currently, the βFor Youβ tab works on the previous implementation of content discovery. But soon this new Homepage is going to be personalized for each user, based on the content they have liked in the past, as well as the content that is popular among the collections they follow. The βFor Youβ section will also feature content from collections that users may not be following, but that Scrolller thinks they might be interested in. The following section will purely focus on displaying the quality content from the collections that the user is following.
The Scrolller homepage is the heart of the website. It is the fastest way to explore new content in a brilliant infinite scroll. This is a big change for Scrolller to please users who have been wanting a more personalized experience on the platform.
Discovery Page Updates
Scrolller has introduced a New Discovery page with clear tabs for user-generated collections and Categories. Our users have long struggled with content discovery. The problem is that there is so much great content out there, but it's often buried under a ton of other stuff. This can make it hard to find the gems that you're looking for. All user-generated collections, New Collections, Categories, and search options are available now through this new discovery page, making it easier for users to discover content according to their interests.
No Sidebar
Scrolller has completely removed the concept of the sidebar. We wanted to provide our users with a clean, simple, content-oriented, and easy-to-navigate website, where content is the main star of the show. The new simple design means that all navigation is done via Navbar. This makes it much easier to use the site and means that you can get to where you want to go much faster. It also means that there is more space on the screen for the content that you are looking at. Everything you need is now within the reach of your hands.
Universal Login and Logout
Previously, if a non-logged-in user went to a collection and wanted to favorite any content, He had to navigate back to the homepage to log in and navigate back to the collection for completing the action. This was a complete waste of time and a breaking experience for users.
New Navbar allows users to log in/log out from any collection or page all over the Scrolller. Users can continue their scrolling without breaking any experience. On the homepage, no matter how much you have scrolled, on login, the page does not refresh. As a premium user if mid-scrolling they see any ads they can log in to disable them.
Brand New Filters Experience
The filters are redesigned and now serve as a multi-function control panel for your Scrolller experience. on the homepage, the filters tab is provided with a brand new UI. Video, Image, and Album filters are moved to this tab. As soon as the user navigates to the collection the controls on filters are switched to show the controls related to the collection. These new filters allow the user to control what content is displayed on the screen. The user can choose to filter content on the media type, Videos with sounds, and also sort it according to their preference. This is a great way to make sure that the user is only seeing the content that they are interested in.
New Accounts Page
The accounts page is completely redesigned to provide users with clear steps for any setting they want to change. Not long ago, The account page on Scrolller was just a formality and had no actual purpose. Other than deleting an account or canceling a subscription, users had no control over any other settings.
The new accounts page has categorized the settings in a very clean and easy to understand manner to manage items like:
Information
Users can update their Email, Username, and password via this section.
Beta features
Allow users to take a sneak peek into features that are currently in development.
Email Recommendations
Receive emails with content tailored to your interests. You can set the content preferences and also the frequency of these emails from this section.
Subscriptions
Manage your Premium subscriptions. This section now has a βNext Renewal Dateβ to inform users on when they will get charged.
Payment methods
Users can manage their payment details via this section. This page is made so secure that even Scrolller cannot see or control what information is being added or updated here. All of the payment details are sent over to our PCI DSS level 1 payment processor in a secure way to ensure the safety of our users.
Upcoming Features:
Premium Profile Indicator
Scrolller has recently been redesigned, and part of this redesign included removing the obvious indicators that let users know when they were on the premium plan. This led to some confusion among users, so we have decided to give premium users a new logo. This way, users will be able to easily see when they are on the premium experience and enjoy the benefits that come with it. Thanks for being a Scrolller user!
Auto Hide/Show the Navbar
Following our UI update, we received some great feedback from users. One of the pieces of feedback we received was regarding the amount of space our navbar was taking up. In response to this, we have made some changes so that the navbar and any other controls will automatically disappear while you are scrolling through any page with a gallery. The navbar and controls will come back up when you scroll up a bit. We hope that this change will improve your experience using our site.
Tiered Ads to Help logged-in Users See Fewer Ads
Scrolller has decided to give back to its users in the form of incentives for their actions on the site. This is a wonderful opportunity for users to get something in return for their time and effort, and it is also a great way for Scrolller to show its appreciation for its users.
Initially, this incentive will be in the form of ads. As soon as a user creates an account on Scrolller, the ad frequency will be reduced for that user. With the launch of this tiered ad system, logged-in users will see 30% fewer ads as compared to anonymous users. This will provide our users with a better scrolling experience, and it will also show that we care about our users and their experience on our site.
We believe that this is just the beginning of our efforts to give back to our users, and we will continue to look for ways to show our appreciation for our users. Thank you for being a part of Scrolller, and we hope that you enjoy our new incentive program!
New Categories for Scrolller
Scrolller is adding new categories to its site. The move comes as the previous categories become outdated and no longer accurately reflect the content being shared. Under the new system, the content will be tagged with one or more categories, allowing users to more easily find the content they're interested in. The categories will be hierarchically organized, with more general categories at the top and more specific categories below. These new categories have been developed using machine learning, which processes content and adds them to the most relevant category.
For example, the top-level categories may include "Animal Memes," "Political Memes," and "Funny Memes." Under the "Animal Memes" category, users may find subcategories like "Cats," "Dogs," and "Birds." And under the "Funny Memes" category, users may find subcategories like "Gifs," "Text Memes," and "Image Memes."
The new system will make it easier for users to find the content they're looking for, and it will help Scrolller to keep its categories up-to-date. We would love to hear your feedback on how to further improve the categories on Scrolller.

Performance Updates:
Scrolller was facing a major problem with content loading speed as we switched to serving content from our own servers. This issue can be divided into two parts. First Image loading speed and 2nd Video loading speed.
Scrolller has already implemented a CDN for all of its image content. Users are now able to load hundreds of images in under 1 sec from any part of the world. This has greatly improved the scrolling experience as tiles donβt break and it provides our users to scroll through images without stopping. As this issue is now resolved we are now working on the second part of the problem which is video loading speed.
We are currently working on a number of solutions to improve video loading speed. One of the solutions we are implementing is using a content caching system. A content caching system stores popular content on the server so that it can be delivered more quickly the next time it is requested. This can be especially useful for users with slow internet connections. This system is ready and our DevOps team is working on deploying it.
Other solutions that we are exploring are
Optimize video files for faster delivery. This can be done by reducing the file size of videos or by using a video format that is more efficient for delivery.
Improve the server infrastructure. This includes upgrading servers with SSDs and adding more network bandwidth to handle the increased traffic that faster content delivery will bring.
The team is expecting a significant performance increase from these changes. By making these changes, we are hoping to improve the overall user experience on the site.
We would love to have your feedback. Your valuable suggestions will help us in improving the website for users all over the world.

Outreach Team Updates
The outreach team recently encountered a major issue that caused them to lose 95% of the traffic they had generated. Prior to this, they had generated 130,000 link clicks in a single week. However, this problem came out of nowhere and couldn't have been predicted.
The outreach team has found a new NSFW platform that they think has potential. The idea is to generate wide-audience communities of Scrolller. Three of these communities have been created and the growth has already started. The idea is that these communities can generate organic growth and be self-managed by the community. This would mean that the growth of the platform wouldnβt depend on the outreach team's hands. As a long-term approach, this can be helpful in the future.
However, in the short term, this amount of traffic is trivial if we compare it with the outreach team's previous efforts. Even when things go wrong, adding value to Scrolller is the most important thing. The outreach team decided to start fully taking care of customer support, helping our users, and taking feedback from them. So far, things are going smoothly!
Do you have any ideas on how the outreach team can generate traffic to Scrolller? Please leave a comment below, the outreach team would really appreciate it.

Why I can't comment on any video???
Where is comment section??
It was much better when non-premium users could make at least one download per day. For this, Scroller could make this conditional on seeing an advertisement, and not simply block it.
